BigPond Broadband Benefit
You must have a Telstra full service fixed phone on a Single Bill with your broadband service on a 24 month plan. Existing customers may need to recontract to access this pricing.

1. Minimum cost based on broadband plan with HomeLine® Plus, and self-install Home Network Gateway ($71.90/mth).

2. Minimum cost based on broadband plan with HomeLine® Plus for one month and self-install Home Network Gateway ($91.90/mth + $299 for modem).

3. Minimum cost for $69.95 plan based on broadband plan for one month with self-install Home Network Gateway ($69.95/mth + $299 for modem).

A BigPond Ultimate Cable Home Network Gateway is required to access the BigPond Ultimate Cable plans. If, at a later stage you choose to downgrade from a BigPond Ultimate Cable plan to a BigPond Elite® plan, you can continue to use this modem.

BigPond Ultimate Cable plans can provide download speeds up to a maximum of 100 Mbps into the home for sharing across multiple users in a household. These speeds are so fast that they exceed the capabilities of many content servers and individual PCs. Average speeds will be lower and actual speeds a single user will get will vary due to a number of factors including customer hardware, equipment and software, server limitations, type of content being accesses and number of users online. Download speeds on devices connected via a Wi-Fi modem or network extender may be slower than on devices connected by ethernet cable.

Cancellation and reconnection

Cancellation and reconnection

If your BigPond service is cancelled, a cancellation fee of no more than $360 applies.

For example, a BigPond customer who cancels their service nine months into a 24-month plan may have to pay a cancellation fee of $360 x 9/24 (where nine is the number of months left to run on the contract, divided by 24 months) = $135.

Reconnection fees

There is a standard $55 fee to reconnect your BigPond service if it is disconnected (for example if you are moving house or if you are disconnected for non-payment). If the cabling on your existing connection requires more than 15 minutes work to restore, you will also be charged for the extra work- $30 per 15 minutes, or part thereof.

The total fee for a reconnection (including the $55 fee and any service charges) will not exceed your initial installation fee.

If you choose our self-install option but then find you need a BigPond technician to assist, you may be charged an additional $189 for the service call.
