Setup

There are two ways to install broadband in your home - self install or professional install.

Self install

BigPond's® ADSL self install kits contain everything you need to get connected to your BigPond ADSL Broadband service in around 10 minutes on an ADSL activated phone line. Each kit includes: one of our ADSL modems: Technicolor TG582n Wi-Fi Gateway (Standard Home Network Gateway) OR Technicolor TG587nV3 Wi-Fi Gateway (Premium Home Network Gateway) 1 x ethernet cable (RJ45) phone cable (RJ11) 2 x ADSL phone line splitters phone socket adaptor BigPond self install CD BigPond Broadband user guide (included on self install CD) Optional Wi-Fi adaptors can be purchased for $60 each if required	Connecting your BigPond® Broadband Cable is easy. Our self install kit has everything you need to get up and running almost immediately. You'll be able to self install as long as:

you have a FOXTEL cable outlet (not satellite) with two or less wallplates, and
the cable outlet is active, or has been active since July 2001

ADSL and Cable
If you don't feel comfortable installing your modem yourself or your set-up isn't suitable, we'll be happy to send out a Telstra technician to install your modem for you, at a time that suits you. The BigPond® technician will only install BigPond Broadband on one PC. An installation fee may apply.
